UNICEF HK Promotion Video on Rights to Play

Every child should have at least one hour of free play time per day as it helps to foster the all-round development of children.

Food for Thought:

  1. “Children need one hour of free play time every day.” Do you agree with the statement? Why?
  2. What are the factors preventing the child in the video from playing?
  3. Conduct on a small survey on classmates’ playing habits, and report the findings in the class.
  • e.g. average amount of play time every day
  • Type of games (e.g. on their own/by group, indoors/outdoors, active/ sedentary/ electronic)
