Starting Line

UNICEF HK Make A Video
Ip Ka Shun, Kelvin (Asbury Methodist Social Service)

Description:

This story uses two scenes to describe two different childhoods. The scene on the left is about typical kids in Hong Kong, and the scene on the right is about me. I used various examples to show the differences in their childhood development. For instance, what they would do during recess and after school. Through this video, I wanted to tell a story that I enjoyed a happy childhood.

Food for Thought:

  1. “Hard work brings rewards; play brings no benefits.” Do you agree with the statement? Why?
  2. Which story describes your life better (left frame/ right frame)? Why or why not?
  3. If you were the protagonist in the left frame of the video, try to use a single line to express your views to your parents.
  4. If you were the protagonist in the right frame of the video, try to use a single line to express your views to your parents.
